Safety Valve

A safety valve (or Pressure Safety Valve/PSV) is a critical, automatic safety device that prevents catastrophic equipment failure, explosions, and overpressure in systems containing gas, steam, or liquids. It opens rapidly when pressure exceeds preset limits—often in boiler, compressor, or piping systems—to release excess pressure, acting as the final line of defense.
